CMEI was created in September 11, 1996 as item (l) in the conditions applied to the Approval to Operate under the Clean Environment Act. This was amended on March 31, 2005 by a New Brunswick Order in Council. Read these two documents:
An agreement was signed between CMEI and FRSC on December 7, 1999. At the time the two organizations were formally known as the Fundy Future Environment and Benefits Council (FFEBC) and the Fundy Region Solid Waste Commission (FRSWC) respectively. Following the Order in Council, the CMEI By-Laws were produced and approved at the AGM. Read these two documents:

FRSC ANNUAL MONITORING REPORT 2023
Gemtec produces quarterly monitoring reports for FRSC and the fourth quarter report provides an overview of the current year's results.
